CALL FOR PAPERS
Traditionally PVSF Voice presentations are by invitation only, but because this conference generated wide interest we are opening a number of free papers to be included by placing an open Call for Papers Category.

To qualify, you are invited to submit a title of your planned presentation and the names of all co-authors by January 31, 2005, and the full abstract by February 15, 2005.

Remember, the purpose of this conference is to discuss production/perception of emotions contained in the human voice. The conference focuses on how vocal emotions are produced and perceived, what are the minimal cues defining specific vocal emotions, how are these emotions produced by live and virtual actors, what is the impact vocal emotions (i.e. of cartoon voices) on listeners in a cross-cultural, gender and age context, how production of expected vocal emotions is hindered by disease and by technological constraints, what are drug effects on vocal emotions and what treatment avenues can be explored.

Therefore you are invited to submit a title (abstract) in the following areas:

Analysis and synthesis of spoken or sung voice quality
Modeling of spoken or sung voice quality and emotions
Perception and recognition of vocal emotions
Correlating spoken and sung voice with movement
Matching of vocal and visual signals
