Dedo, MD, Annual Award. The Dedo Award will be given to an individual who completed their training in Laryngology or Voice Pathology at any time prior to the Annual Pacific Voice Conference (PVC).

The nominee will be chosen by the PVSF advisory committee, by the educational facility, by self nomination, or by recommendations of colleagues. It is imperative that the nominee is a part of the Annual PVC presenting faculty. Decisions, as to who receives the H.H. Dedo, MD, Annual Award is made be the Board of the Directors of the PVSF. Award will be bestowed based on the quality of the proposed presentation submitted in due time to the Annual PVC, or by recognized merits reflecting deep interdisciplinary commitment to research, clinical care and artistic development of the human voice. The paper considered for the award must be submitted to the Scientific Committee of the PVSF in accordance with the submission process. Once selected, the paper will be published on www.pvsf.org website, and will be featured in the e-Phonoscope, an electronic open official journal of the PVSF. The application for this award in the form of a paper submission must be made by the final deadline designated each year in connection with the Annual PVC. This deadline will be posted in due time at the www.pvsf.org, and will be announced in professional journals.

The Herbert H. Dedo, MD, award winner receives:

  1. A $ 500.00 check.
  2. Free registration to the Annual Pacific Voice Conference A
  3. Free Admission to Annual PVSF/ PVC Gala Dinner
  4. Signed copy of Dr. Dedo’s “Atlas of Surgery of the Larynx and Trachea”.
