About PVSF
The Pacific Voice and Speech Foundation (PVSF) is a non-profit world organization dedicated to the human voice, its care, problems and training.

PVSF is associated with the World Voice Consortium, and international umbrella organization of voice societies.

PVSF organizes annual Pacific Voice Conferences, and other educational events.

PVSF promotes interdisciplinary contacts among the many voice professions and conducts research on many aspects of the human voice.

PVSF provides voice care and conducts research into the human voice.

PVSF was established in 1989 as a tax exempt state and federal non-profit organization with focused goals in mind: promotion, education and careof the human voice, a "tool of modern labor."

PVSF Activity Aims
1. To advance the diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders via non- surgical and surgical and medical approaches;
2. To organize national and international conferences, symposia, seminars and workshops on voice disorders, voice care and voice production.
3. To disseminate information on the human voice and its problems via interdisciplinary approach
4. To sponsor uniformity in international learning and research

Educational Activity
PVSF has organized 15 Annual Pacific Voice Conferences on the subject of the human voice and participated in co-organization of numerous conferences and congresses all over the globe. PVSF is a member of the World Voice Consortium and participates actively in organizing educational activity of WVC.

The 2005 conference focuses Voice and Emotions and is organized in cooperation with two new allays: the PIXAR Animations Studios, and EX’Pressions Digital Art College, both of Emeryville, California.

Other cooperating institutions include the Departments of H&N Surgery of the University of Stanford, Palo Alto, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, of the University of Colorado at Boulder and of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium.

Fellowships and Sponsorships
PVSF provides educational opportunities to foreign graduates interested in voice care.

Fellowships are limited in scope and time and are granted predominantly to foreign individuals who are already active in the fields of voice.

Sponsorships are given on ad-hoc basis and predominantly to students, residents and others who participate in educational activities of the PVSF.

PVSF Awards
During the PVSF Annual Pacific Voice Conference, the Board of Directors of PVSF bestows on a selected individuals a PVSF Award for the Significant Contributions to Voice Care and Sciences.
